So even older men are doing this now?

This sounds like one of those sadface Take A Break stories.

GHOSTED BY MY SEXTING SCUBA INSTRUCTOR/TOURGUIDE/ LIFEGUARD SILVER FOX

Only for a bit more scandal, you should discover he’s now sexting with Chloe, the busty 20something beauty who was also on your holiday, flaunting her curves etc.

Omg !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I haven't even read all of this thread yet but your response has had me in stitches.

Yes, I'm interested in why you think a man in his 60s is any more unlikely to ghost you than anyone else. Unless, that is, you think a man of that 'advanced' age is supposed to be grateful for female attention?

I read it as OP expecting a man of 60 to have better social skills or better manners, to be a bit more mature.

No one is allowed to joke on MN. Ever.

People take offence at everything these days! Its funny (and I am in my 60s).

I'd expect this too I think... But then thinking about it, my own experiences tell me otherwise. When I was in my free and easy (ahem - promiscuous!) years before smartphones, online dating and social media, I certainly met (ahem - slept with!) plenty of men who told me they'd call or they really liked me... then nothing.

So yeah, it's been ever thus I reckon. Happily some of them did stick around though, I imagine that's still going to be true today too. If only you could tell which ones in advance.

OP: in truth, if nothing happened in 3 weeks when you were together all day, maybe he wonders what is to be gained from messaging now you are long distance?

Yeah. Why were you sexting long distance but nothing happened when you were together for weeks? Seems the wrong way round.

Anyway, you blocked him after two days, that is an overreaction. People are busy.
