DH went to his first anger management session tonight. He doesn't want to tell me about it. It's hypnosis. I want to know how it went etc but I'm not pushing it. I suspicious he doesn't want to tell me as he's big on 'no secrets' but wants to keep this as 'his'. I wonder if he's actually been. . . . . .

The important thing is not so much whether he went or not, but whether he starts to get better at managing anger. Only time will tell.

don't know your history milk but my first inclination would be to say to you to back off a little. Assuming he did go!

He probably did as if he didn't he would be more likely to make something up?

If this is his first session then I would assume it was quite a big (brave?) step for him and he may need to get his head around it before he can "externalise" it.

You're right, you're right. It's just that usually he is so vocal and wanting to tell all about everything. I should just be glad he's gone. God, it's terrible being a cynic.

My DP had his first counselling session yesterday and I had the same thought as you, when he didn't say much about it. I was just about to say something when he pulled an appointment card out of his pocket showing his next appointment.
I'm so glad I didn't accuse him of not going, and it took him till last night to be able to talk about it properly (once dc were in bed and he felt a bit more relaxed).
