People that are hot and cold

Do you know anyone who blows hot and cold constantly?

I know this person who changes like the weather, one minute they're like your best friend and the next it's like they don't know you at all.

This person has always been like this ever since I've known them and I always end up wondering what I've done to upset them.

Yesterday for instance this person inititiated chatting with me, they were laughing and joking with me as if we were really good friends but today they half smiled at me and then reluctantly turned to face me when I went over to them. They then forced conversation before brushing me off asap and leaving.

Why are some people like this? it always leaves me thinking I've done something wrong. Its not a one off incident with this person, they're like it all the time.

It irritates me

I seem to know a few like that. I have just stopped bothering with a couple of people, but now feel that I could be seen to be the same as them. Deep down I know life's too short to bother with such things, but it still gets me down.

The people I know who are very much likes this (I fear I may be a bit like this), I'm pretty sure it's down to their mood - nothing to do with you, iyswim.

Sometimes they feel sociable, sometimes they don't. Yes, it's rude, yes, it can hurt, but it hurts less if you don't think of it as having anything to do with you.
