met a nice guy recently. he texted me tonight. all good, but he wrote in his non-abbreviated message 'before it gets to late'. TO late??

i'm not a master of the english language (as the pedant's corner regulars know ). but to, two and too. its not difficult for a 29 year old surely?

would it put you off?

No , Miss Fussy Bum! Sounds like the average English ability of most 29 year old men to me

no

I'd let it go as a typo. If they really couldn't spell or used text talk, even in texts then it would be a dealbreaker.

Yes, I always used to give prospective partners a spelling test before I committed to them.

DH is dyslexic, but he managed to gain extra points in the test simply by having a rather marvellous arse.

I decided life is too short to wait for the perfect man and that there is nothing wrong with having fun with a guy who has imperfections.

What are you going to do check their qualifications before you get into bed with them, so whats your minimum qualification O grade english and maths or do they need at least a degree. FGS if they are good at sex, buy me lunch and pay me the odd compliment I'm in there .

yes well dds dad (xp) is an academic genius yet has no common sense and lacks the ability to even turn on a washing machine.

suppose you are right...
