Neighbour keeps sending parcels to our address

They are annoying neighbours to say the least.. very subtle, but annoying.. how to stop Royal Mail delivering to us.. this happened before - they put our house number down on their packages until I contacted the company.. I don't wish to speak with them..

I could send back in post? Return to sender?

I would log it with the police as potential mail fraud.

🤦‍♀️

We aren't there when put in box outside gate... we don't see until we check..

Presumably you’ve asked them why they are doing this? What was their reply?

We aren't there when put in box outside gate... we don't see until we check..

So put a notice on the box "Do Not put parcels for surname (Cheekyfucker Name) in this box. This box is for (Your surname) ONLY. Parcels for other recipients must not be placed in this box, they have been addressed in error and we take no responsibility for the safety of any such items."

Contact customer services explaining what is happening and the office manager will get an action to put a stop to this. If it keeps happening keep firing in a complaint it will be flagged as a repeat complaint and that will be highlighted to the area manager ( I work for RM and they won't like this on their local stats)

sunbum · 15/02/2025 11:39

why dont you just take out of box and chuck over to neighbours drive?

smallsilvercloud · 15/02/2025 11:43

I would just leave them there, not take them in or drop them round, they'll soon realise it's unsafe for their parcels.

Floralnomad · 15/02/2025 11:43

Just go next door and say to them that you don’t want them to put your address on things , it’s simple . If you really can’t face that then just leave them in your post box or wherever they are being left and let them come looking for them . Half the issue here is your husband keep encouraging it by taking them back so stop him doing that .

Fraaances · 15/02/2025 11:44

You could collect them and take to the local police station saying, “We just saw this documentary about neighbours constantly using someone’s address instead of their own and it was drugs. My neighbours won’t stop using my address so I am giving you these just in case it’s the same thing.”

I think I can RTS by having Royal Mail collect from me at home so I don't need to trek around.

They did this before with Amazon and I called Amazon to put a stop to it.. now they doing it another way..

Weirdos!

You need to tell then point blank to stop sending parcels to your address

StMarie4me · 15/02/2025 12:24

My neighbour had actively told Amazon to leave at my address without asking. I work long hours and my DD27 is disabled and can't answer the door. The horrific hammering on the door was so upsetting. It was only when I happened to be in that I saw on their HHD the instruction to leave at our house.
I don't have deliveries coming here myself! I have a locker. It was so rude.
I went next door and explained that we cannot have parcels delivered here. She was very apologetic and said that her son must have done it without asking her either. It stopped after that.

CandyCane457 · 15/02/2025 12:34

I’d just leave them on your doorstep. And if they want to come and get them they can, and if they go missing…not your problem 🤷🏻‍♀️
Tell your husband to stop taking them round, of course they’re going to keep doing it if your husband gives them such a great service! Him taking them round for them is hardly sending a clear message to them that you want this to stop.

There is proof when delivered.. by photo in our box outside so I could deny it.. it's a hassle as we constantly taking them round to drop off I leave outside.. they know exactly what they are doing..! No biggie I suppose but annoying..

Don't take them round leave them to come and collect them.
