Online dating again - Organised meet ups?

Anyone that has experience of internet dating...has anyone ever been on an organised meet up arranged by the site for local areas? They go bowling, out for meals etc together...sounds good but was hoping someone here had some direct experience of it. I'm a wimp and need your approval! lol

I went to a POF meet up at a pub very near to home. I took 3 of my single friends. We stayed about an hour and could'nt wait to get away to the other pubs. Sorry, just giving my experience of a meet up.

i met a pof who went to one in birminghsm

he said it was awful he had one drink and left
everyone was very weird

he is a twat but otherwise normal .... he found it unbearable just starrnge group of wierdos

I was trying to be diplomatic. The one I went to was full of sadoos and weirdos too. My friend felt as though she was in the middle of a comedy sketch.

i was a pleasant relief to meet after it so it must have been bad lol

oh yes i just remembered i had asked him already if he was going to it so he had jumped to the conclusion that iw as going which is why he went
