Googled my boyfriends name..confused now

Googled my boyfriend of 2 and a half years out of curiosity. He is a computer genius and writes papers. His name came up under a respectable looking site but when I pressed it a porn chat site came up. I asked him about it and he went crazy and said his Internet blocks porn sites so how could he look at them.However he is very secretive and has several phones and laptops for his work in several universities.Reason am confused is he doesn't seem to care if we have sex or not and says he has a low sex drive. Doesn't make much effort for me tbh but am I being paranoid?

Two options:

1. His site has been hacked in some way. Not likely if he's the genius you say he is. Doesn't sound like he's at genius level so far.
2. Porn addict.

I dated a porn addict once and yes, low sex drive, wasn't interested in sex with me, when he did he couldn't finish... it was a bit tragic really.

Porn addicts tend want more and more highs, so they look for more and more extreme stuff and it's a really ugly addiction (like most addictions i guess).

His reaction is interesting as well, quite telling of someone who is guilty. I'm unsure as to how he thought you wouldn't eventually find this out.

Having several laptops and phone is pretty normal when you work for various companies doing IT work.

A lot of companies have security restrictions which means data cannot be shared between devices, you would be in breach of the security requirement agreement you had to sign to work on the contract.

He may seem secretive about his work but he might have had to sign NDA's to work on certain projects which means he can't really speak about it.

If you aren't in the industry it may seem overkill with all the restrictions placed on you but its about protecting data and reputation.

Unless he’s used your phone to watch porn and left a tab open or something then its impossible to “find” who is watching porn by googling their full name?

If he is a computer genius he will know how to not link his real name to a porn site.

DH also has multiple laptops and phones due to the mind boggling amount of red tape in his company - it causes a lot of swearing. So that aspect wouldn't bother me, but the lack of physical contact would!

If you Google my name I come up as a talented Artist. In real life I struggle to draw stick men!

Do you really think Googling someone’s full name on your phone will take you to the internet sites they’ve visited on their devices?

Even IF he had an account in his full name, you’d have to locate the site (Google won’t take you there) and if by chance you found a porn site he subscribed to you’d be locked out and redirected to a secure sign in page.

If anyone could check what porn their partners, family and friends had visited by simply Googling their name then were all fucked (well most of us 😂)

BTW I work at a single university and while I wouldn't say I'm a computer genius, I am a tech geek. I've got two uni laptops, plus two of my own, plus a couple of old desktops and various other bits of tech scattered around. And I've got two phones - my own and a work one.

I think if you felt the need to Google him after 2 n a half years... there's more going on here.
I hope you get some answers. I'm not sure I'd be ok with multiple phones and laptops... lectures who teach at different establishments don't tend to need different devices x

No not at all, it's most likely your intuition telling you to research him for your own emotional and physical safety. I did the same for a man who had been running me down trying to get to know me and build a relationship, he lied to me about his age, occupation and just lied in general for no reason like I'm someone special he is trying to impress. Red flags were apparent for the first conversation. I googled his name and it turned out he's a known drug dealer who got arrested and spent 2 year's in prison for £95.000 worth of cannabis...an immigrant who is bound to £6000 of debt for illegally being imported by other migrants...he was my sons father friend who wanted his papers as I don't have my sons father surname on his birth certificate. He had enough information about me to take the opportunity and use me and my son as collateral damage to get what he wanted which was a citizenship in the UK...I'm guessing the information came from my sons father but my sons father didn't know his motives was to use his son for a visa...don't ever ignore your intuition it will save your time and even your life from lies and deception
