I came home today to find my DP diving off the curtain rail onto the kids. I thought it was dangerous and told him to pack it in, he and the kids all ganged up on me and said I was "strict and boring".

So, am I? The curtain rail is knackered because of it too btw.

Are you married to some kind of parakeet?

S1ur · 15/03/2008 23:49

Oh annoying. smile graciously and then bollock him in private.

Unless you are married to a parakeet in which case refuse crackers.

Kevlarhead · 16/03/2008 01:01

What the hell is your curtain rail made of? What are the curtains made of... chain mail?

GettingIt · 16/03/2008 15:31

Its a metal curtain rail. I don't understand the parakeet comments?

He does this kind of thing all the time, I found him scaling the curtains last week so he was probably trying to do it then too.

Errr not married to a parakeet, tis a cat you are married to.

Sounds a bit strange gettingit, and not particularly good behaviour for the dc to copy, if you value your home furishings.

OverMyDeadBody · 16/03/2008 19:45

Oh I see, your DP is a cat!

Beetroot · 16/03/2008 19:57

scaling the curtains? jumping of the curtain rail?

sounds more like a monkey to me
