A rant about my mum.......................

Hi. Sorry I just need to rant as had an awful day.

Plan was to go to my mum's this morning and we were going into town for lunch, she was going to drive us as I drive loads!. I drop DD off at school which is 17 miles from where we live and then drive another 10 miles to go to mum's. Town is another 10 miles back the way to school. So when I pull up at mum's I notice the car isn't there. My step dad has decided to get his hair cut and has said ' we can go in my car!' I am fuming by this point because I could of just met mum in town but instead i now have to be taxi service. So we drive to town and then I have to take her home and then have to go back to school and then back home.

It is just their attitude towards everything I have/ do. I have a good husband who earns a very good wage (but he works bloody hard and is away all week) and they don't have much money but buy buy buy and are in alot of debt.

Mum always comments on my things, e.g my car, she has a huge range rover and I have a small economical car (because I do 300+ miles a week for school) and she says things like 'it's abit small.' I just feel she thinks it's all a big competition and she has to get one over on me all the time.

This has been going on for years and I never know how to approach the situation. Sorry for the rant!!

I hate driving people around too.

Take no notice of your Mum. She sounds quite materialistic.

You know you work hard for what you have. If she makes a comment, don't dignify it with a reply.
