I just want to share! Shes so fabulous and squidgy (family term for motherly!) she means the world to me! In the last week she has ...

Come round everynight after shes been to work and helped tidy up because Ive been Illl.

Took a carers day off work to watch my kids whilst I went back to the dentist, she tidied up and did all the washing and ironng!!

Gave me £100 to take the kids out somewherenice because DH is off work but we are skint!

She has paid for DH to learn to drive (and about a year ago she GAVE us a car!)

Me and my sis (who lives with mum) had plans for a lunch out but sis is skint so mum said she doesnt have to give her the keep this week!So shes coming out again now!

She went to aldi and got loads of shopping for us and paid for it.

I just love her so much!! Shes my best friend ever!

Aw what a lovely thread.

My mum is lovely too & helps us out enormously i would be totally lost without her, i speak to her least once every day i used to see her everyday until we moved but she still comes up to see us 1-2 times a week.

She helps out if we are stuck with money, she is ALWAYS buying our kids toys/presents, she works hard & is fab.

I would be truly lost wihtout her.

ScoobyDoo · 11/03/2008 20:19

Sorry to drag this up but Im sad

My mums moved away today. Not far only 30 mins but Ive never lived more than about 10 doors away from her and shes gone with all my sisters (one of which has a baby and we do things together)

I don't drive and I feel really alone. I havent said any of this to her because she is upset already and keeps crying.

I feel like shit. Im going to be sat alone all day

Also we are going haven next week and she gave me an envelope with £200 in !! She always does such nice things and I want her to be close to me still.

I miss her alrady

Gosh, I love your mum too! What a lovely mum and what a lovely thread!

fifitinkerbell · 31/03/2008 10:50

My mum is lovely to. Can talk about everything to her. Will take my friends & I in to town when we have a girly night & then will come back out to pick us up. Buys me shopping as quite skint at the moment as ex husband has stopped paying maintenance. Gives my boys money etc. she is my best friend.
