Dating sites for 'professionals' - thoughts?

I'm thinking about trying internet dating (again) but specifically dating sites aimed at 'professionals' has anyone had any experience? what sort of people do you find, worth the money etc..

I know one guy who met his second wife through the Guardian's site. Another one met a recent girl through there recently too (and a mutual friend said she was v nice but he had some hang ups about someone else and it didn't go any further, although in different circumstances it might have). DH knows a couple of others who had serious & well-matched relatiosnhips through the Grauniad as well.

have you tried my single friend.... i know someone has to put you on there... but ikewise for the others. so hopefuly a true reflection....

i think it is the only way foward for me to... but dont have a credit card to pay for subscription

thought about it but it £25 a month.. have tried other dating sites and just got trash through so that was my thinking behind one aimed more at 'professionals'

i also think one you pay to join you hope to meet people who are serious about meeting people... as the free ones you could just join for a laugh..

I've heard about one thats called something like "just lunch" or "only lunch" and its a dating company - so the dates will be vetted and you meet them in the daytime (obviously).
