i have been shouted at twice today
one about our cooker that needs servicing and did i ring the man , at 8.15 this monday morning. thats while i dress kids, feed them . make lunch boxes and get my self in car with them to take to school
two: phone people ring and say payment hasnt been received, my name on account so i rig back and its seems chq i posted nearly 3 wks ago didnt get to them. H shouts at me and blames me for this call. tells me its my job to look after this sort of thing (i reminded him i did and posted a chq) and from now on all bills including boden (!) are his domain.

and finishes it with the above statement.

why do i bother...

oh poor you hermykne

I think your DH needs to take himself off outside for a walk, take a deep breath, come back with some flowers and a rather large apology.

Is there something going on in his work life or your life together that is making him rather harsh or is he always a very bad tempered meanie

Mumcentreplus · 03/03/2008 15:34

What an arse! so sorry I know how you feel

colditz · 03/03/2008 15:35

he needs a hefty dose of "How dare you speak to me like that, you pompous, jumped up buffoon! I am your wife, you do not employ me!"

margoandjerry · 03/03/2008 15:36

Colditz, that may be your best post EVER.

Smurfs · 03/03/2008 15:37

for next lively discussion with DH!

Cam · 03/03/2008 15:39

hermykne · 03/03/2008 16:03

colditz wonderful line.
smurfs - hes actually gone for a walk in his very expensive walking gear!

he just does not listen to me or if he does he doesnt remmber things. and gets so annoyed with me if i come out with a clever'er statment or better way of doing something - i know it drives him nuts.

told me i have to apolgise to him - buffoon
and i said i am going to a solicitor tomorrow - i n a rant back!
oh the silly stuff thats spoken and whats annoying is i asked him to stop the argument not 3 mins in. and he just kept going . and i cant be bothered answering back til i am really pushed.

thanks for your words of support.

kermykne - he should walk his bad mood off and return a happy chap...I am sure it is the snow...lowers their core temperature so the blood can't get to their head to have a nice thought instead of a horrid thought

hermykne · 03/03/2008 18:42

Smurfs · 03/03/2008 21:01

hermykne....amazing what a blast of cold air to the head does for them at least you don't have to cook next Saturday and you can one of those hysterically funny (to watch at least) conversations in a restaurant when you can say something slightly strong to DH and he can't storm off, raise his voice but instead has to grin and pray the next table are not listening...which they will be

I remember a couple doing this when we were on holiday main part of conversation seemed to be about socks and he was not happy....well from what I could hear

dippydeedoo · 03/03/2008 22:42

smurfs mr dippy moans about socks if theres not 20 pairs in there he gets cross.....i think he thinks hes a centipede
