Can I just say something positive about my dh?

He has been very concerned that our dss (16 and 12) sort out presents for me for Mother's Day.

I put no pressure on him or them. (Honestly!)

DS2 went out and bought some flowers today. DH decided that there weren't enough of them and sent him out to buy something else.

He told me about this, which - to be honest - I would rather he hadn't - I would have liked to think all this was spontaneous!

Apparently both DSs have bought me presents.

Suddenly this afternoon DH disappeared saying "just going out for a while" and then reappeared about 20 minutes later with a huge bouquet of flowers.

I have never made an issue of Mother's Day, but since my mum died (4 years ago this year) it has always been hard.

So I'd just like to register how considerate and lovely my DH has been. So MN isn't always about complaining!

I heart my DH.

What a nice man he sounds, that's lovely and considerate

S1ur · 01/03/2008 23:29

Yea for fab DPs!

Mine is likely to sneakily do craft with the kids tomorrow to make me a card derspite it being something he detests.

And he's got an OFSTED coming next week, but he'll give me a lie-in nevertheless.

He is very cool.

But seriously, now come on MN isn't and never has been just about complaining. But I know you are just being flippant

BecauseImWorthIt · 01/03/2008 23:33

No, I know it's not about complaining, but sometimes I do think that positive stories about relationships, how much we love each other, how well things are going, etc don't really get written about.

Now you don't really want me to get examples do you?

Also is it complaining or worrying? most threads are worrying or jokey imo and some ranting which is ok too.

BecauseImWorthIt · 01/03/2008 23:42

Yes, it's all OK! That's what MN is for. But I think that our dh/dps often come in for a lot of stick and it's easier to complain that praise.

That's all.

I just wanted to make a positive post.
