Just curious? Has any MNetters popped the question to their other halves?

oh you saw it too! He was a right misery ...

TimeForMe · 29/02/2008 11:30

I saw that too. I felt so sorry for his GF, I thought he looked a bit narked actually

branflake81 · 29/02/2008 16:27

I'd be too scared of being rejected...I figure if he wanted to marry me he'd ask.

lydiathetattooedlady · 29/02/2008 19:26

im tempted to write it in spaghetti letters for his dinner like billy from eastenders, then again he'd probably wolf them down and not even notice

foxythesnowman · 29/02/2008 19:28

That GMTV proposal was hideous!

DP is away, but did text me first thing to tell me the date

Poor sod. Another bitter disappointment

PurpleOne · 29/02/2008 20:32

I sent my ldr a wedding ring, via a valentine's day package.

we aren't even in a 'relationship' even though we've done most things toghether.

Due to time difference, he is just getting up right about now, and I'm sitting here getting pissed and totally shitting myself!

LaundryFairy · 29/02/2008 20:45

I proposed to my husband (complete with ring )12 years ago, but I sprang it on him on the 28th (apparantly any time in a leap year is technically allowed). So glad I did - he said yes right away.

bubblagirl · 29/02/2008 21:01

was going to but thought id tread carefully as always starts fights when mentioning marraige

asked him as he used to ask me all the time so asked what he thought of marraige and what made himask me he said it was a way of telling me how he felt but he didnt mean it

well i then asked why did he say it then and he went on a big rant that he doesnt get it what the point then proceeded to twll me what i've heard for last 4 yrs we will one day yeah right with that attitude

i walked into kitchen with tears in my eyes but breathed a sigh of relief i didnt ask

i would have had same response as that poor girl this morning

men

at least i know where i stand now i said if he ever asked me id say no as his taken the romantisism out of it

i knew he wasnt romantic but hey never mind

congrats to anyone that did though
