I’ve seen some threads on here recently about relationship timelines and the replies were interesting so I wanted to hear more.

In your opinion, how soon is too soon for the following relationship milestones?

First Date:
Moving In Together:
Engagement:
Children:
Marriage:

My own answers would be
First Date: 2 weeks of knowing each other
Moving In: Anything below 1 year of dating
Engagement: Anything below 3 years of dating
Children: Anything below 5 years of dating
Marriage: Anything below 5 years of dating

First Date: Any time
Moving In Together: Before a year
Engagement: Before 6 months of living together (so 18 months)
Children: Before 2.5 years (ideally later)
Marriage: Before 2 years (ideally later)

Ideally...
First Date: Anytime
Moving In Together: After engagement
Engagement: 12 months after first date
Children: 2 to 5 years after wedding depending on fertility
Marriage: 6 months after engagement
