Handyman crush...but not very handy when I can't track him down!

I've had a long standing crush and I need a Mumsnet intervention as this has gone on far too long! The beautiful chap in question was the handyman for my block of flats and we used to chat whenever he was here working in the communal areas, and it felt like there was a bit of a connection. Just at the point I was ready to declare undying love or at least disclose that I thought he was a bit of a fittie, the company he works for expanded and now he's been put on other work and we have a different handyman, so I have 4 options:

• go via his handyman colleague to ascertain if he;s single / interested?
• I've done a little detective work and found he's part of some workman online forum thing...could I send a cryptic message to hint on there?
• i often see his van driving about and we always wave at one another, but i can't very well flag him down just to tell him I fancy him can I?
• do nothing, you're 40 not 20. Behave yourself!

Thoughts?

If you've gone to the bother of tracking him down stop faffing about & contact him direct. Never mind cryptic messages just be direct

Contact him via his colleague - anything else would look a bit OTT. And just be open and if he isn’t interested then at least he doesn’t work in your block anymore!

Asking via his colleague will lead to company gossip most likely and may embarrass him. I think you could flag his van down when he waves - to say you miss the chat and if he does too, how about a drink and a catch up?

Messaging on handumen's site a bit weird and try too hard, you prob need to register as a handyman!😂

Just contact him on the handyman site and ask him if he fancies a drink one day ?

or do nothing !
