Does anyone else find hinge completely deflating?

The apps in general are awful but I find hinge to be the most demoralising. With tinder and bumble I get likes and matches from all kinds of men and have had some lovely conversations and dates but nothing more than that. A friend suggested trying hinge as men tend to be more serious about dating on there but after a month of using the app I've not had a single like.

I'm using my 8 swipes a day and not just liking but writing a comment but I'm left feeling deflated and like there is something wrong with me. I had people check my profile out and no one could find a problem with it.

Does anyone else have this experience from hinge? I've deleted my profile now and won't be using it again.

Personally I have found Hinge to be the most successful, I’ve had almost no interest on Tinder and only marginally better luck on Bumble.

I think it’s just so hit and miss, I’m close ish to london so maybe that makes a difference.

Dont be disheartened though, I know it’s a slog having to swipe continuously. I’m taking a break from all the apps for a while

I suggested hinge to my sister after seeing it so popular on here she deleted it 24 hours later said it was full of weirdos we are in London also

Yes and then I came off it. I must have seen at least 500 profiles, maybe more, but didn't find any of them attractive or interesting. The most attractive men don't seem to be on there, or it could be me.

Its the hipster version of Tinder in my opinion. Yes there's room to add a few details about yourself, but it relies mostly on quick swiping and visuals, and that suits men more than it does women.

I found quite a few weirdos and profiles that just made me laugh. A minority, but it stood out. Profiles saying they wanted to do pegging, were dominant, a few looked like they were gay. In one guy's profile who I thought was gay, I scrolled down to a profile photo of him in a cozy restaurant at night time. He had cropped out the other person....mostly....which was another man. You could see that this guy was holding another man's hand over the dinner table, in the way that dates or couples do 😂He didn't even list himself as bi-sexual, and I suspect he mainly wanted a woman to have his baby before he'd fuck off to his old life again.

Men in their mid 30s seemed to be absent, with men who looked at least 45 + claiming to be my age......then I changed my age to 25 to see if it made a difference, and then suddenly there they were, claiming to be a decade or more younger hoping they could bag a woman in her mid 20s.

I thought if this is was Hinge is like....can't imagine what the rest would be. Bumble has unsafe location setting in my opinoin, which might be fine in a crowded area in London, but in the countryside or town like me it makes your location far too identifiable. It seems essential to use the app, but now I can't unregister from the bloody thing!

Yes I found that with Bumble it all but gave away your exact location 😳
