Too over the top for just acquaintances?

My husband had been out on a day trip I had booked for him, my father and our daughter as a gift for father's day, and he up loaded the photos from the day to facebook, saying a great day thanks to my beautiful wife for booking this for us. He was the one taking the photos so none of them had him in them, they had my father and our daughter though.

A local women who we both know, and knows we are married commented with:

Or looks amazing love💞. Where you in the photos then💞 hope you had amazing day💞 love always 🦋xxx

To me this feels like a message which someone who is more than just friends would send a person. Does anyone else think its a bit too much for just acquaintances?

I defo would comment on the photo with something separate like ‘I’m so pleased you all had a lovely time - all my favourite people together’. She will get a notification because she also commented. This will send out a nice message that there is no room for anyone else!

Actually some people like to make themselves the centre of other people’s drama, so they might do this on posts seeing certain bands or people going through something traumatic etc. It makes them look closer friends with people than they actually are and it’s all about validation.

She sounds dumb and trying to make herself seem closer to your family than she is - bit of an attention seeker.

I don’t think it’s anything suspicious considering your DH openly thanked “his beautiful wife” for the day out.

She's one of those women who thinks everyone's husband fancies her and she will post crap like that to let the wives and girlfriends know that if she wanted to she could take your partner any time she fancied!

The reality being that she's a cheap looking Lilo Lil who can't keep a man of her own.

Do not respond to any of her comments and if you see her and she mentions anything say you haven't seen her post.

Do not feed her the idea that you are concerned as that will inflate her ego.

Ignore, ignore, ignore.
