h has just left me and DC (3 & 9), and says he wants a divorce. The thing is I've never worked, always been a SAHM and am terrified I will lose the house. Can he force the sale? If I sign on the dole will the dss pay the mortgage?

I think benefits will only pay the interest on your mortgage so, if you have an interest only mortgage you will be ok, if you have a repayment mortgage you will have to make a payment towards it.

Probably the best thing you could do would be to make an appointment with citizens advice and let them tell you everything you are going to need to know.
