My husband works away a lot- and makes friends with a lot of beautiful woman. He seems to meet a new one whenever he goes away.
I feel that he is flirting with one of the school Mum’s he has now followed her on Instagram and has now gone through my profile following all my school Mum friends. Do you think I’m being unnecessarily sensitive?

Following your friends isn't necessarily a bad thing, depending on if your DH is one of those who have lots and lots of followers and looking for more. If he's not, then yeah, of course it's bad. When you say flirting? Can you elaborate?
At the end of the day, its clearly making you feel uncomfortable, regardless of the intent. Can you talk with him?

He only has a few followers / his profile is set to private.
They are very friendly and I know they have texted socially, when I am around it seems very awkward and they ignore each other.
He was added to the school WhatsApp group by this lady, when I told him it made me feel uncomfortable and I didn’t think he needed to as he very rarely is home. He told me it was my issue not his. I can’t really talk to him about it because he makes me feel like I’m being unreasonable.
As I am sure you can guess, we aren’t in a good place in our relationship.
