I have a new colleague and I don't know what it is about him but I feel very nervous, excitable and actually terrified when I interact with him. After we talk even about the blandest most uninteresting things I get a huge energy boost, it's so weird. I'm very confused as we don't have much in common and I don't think it's a looks thing. I can't understand why this is happening. I'm usually very confident around any kind of person and can handle most situations. We're both in our 50s. I'm single but not looking to get into a relationship with someone at work, what is going on in your opinion? Thanks!

Sexual chemistry (or just chemistry) can be a bloody mystery! It can feel really powerful and doesn’t necessarily always align with compatibility.

Is he single too?

I don't know if he's single I'm trying to keep a bit of a distance so I don't make an idiot out of myself, the out of control feeling is something I haven't felt since being a teenager. He seems a bit flirty so I'm wondering if I'm getting womanizer / run for the hills vibes...? The chemistry is unbelievable though.

I have heard narcissists or abusive people can cause this reaction, how did it turn out?
