Book recommendations for a break up

Just been dumped after 2 years and I'm devastated- hoped to spend the rest of my life with him. What books can others recommend to help me through please? Both non fiction (either self help or more lighthearted- humour is a huge coping mechanism for me, the darker the better) as well as fiction- including literary fiction.

Anything by David Sedaris. Nothing to do with breakups, but funny and sometimes dark.

Hope you are ok.

Also, this might do better in the Reading section if you just want book suggestions rather than relationship advice.

Ah, sorry about that!
How about John Boyne, The Echo Chamber?

tigergoat · 12/06/2023 22:08

Think I might still try him though- meant to when ex told me about him but never got round to it. I've checked him out on Amazon and definitely does look like my kind of thing
