Different towns, kids, work. Can it work?

Met my partner bf about 17 months ago. Things are great but we live about 35 minutes away from each other. He has 2 kids, I have a daughter.

He works most weekends and has days off during the week. I work Mon-Fri.

We chat every day but don't see him that much, due to the this. We have every second Saturday together after his work and he has been coming to my house mid week after work.

I'm very happy but work it can't sustain and the excitement will go for him.

Any tips for long distance or living apart? X

You need ways to maintain the intimacy.

Plan some work vacation days together minus kids. Grab little bits of time when you can, like a brunch or coffee here and there if possible.

Make some longer term holiday away plans. The odd text through the day.

It's not easy but there's ways to make it work. Good luck!
