I came out of a relationship almost 3 years ago and single ever since, until recently when a platonic long term friend has asked me to dinner even though I've seen him a handful of times since breakup. I was shocked but also pleasantly surprised, which he realised, and told me to think about it, which I'm doing.
Kind of curious if he's only thought of me in that way recently or is it likely going back a while?
Also, I'd decided to resolutely stay single, never go out with anyone again, so am in a bit of a pickle! He's a nice guy.
