New relationship?

Hey..
I found out my husband was unfaithful a while back and whilst I told him it was over we have been civil etc for the sake of our son.
I've made it clear but he's still got hope we will reconcile.

I got chatting to a new guy recently and he knows the whole situation and has been a fab friend. We both admitted we like each other and would like to potentially embark on dating each other and a relationship but we're both taking it slow out of respect for what's happened and worried people may think it's 'too soon'. He's never been married or has children and has been so lovely about everything. I really like him.

Advice really from anyone in similar situations.

Umm..you do you, and whatever makes you happy. What's the timescale here?
Just take it slow and see what happens! Enjoy!

How long since your split? I would just keep it to yourself for now, see how it goes, only need to tell people when you're in a committed relationship and you feel comfortable discussing it.

Only a couple of months since we separated but we'd been apart for a bit longer. It was only when I found out about his cheating with numerous women over the years I ended it completely.

We will definitely keep it to ourselves - no one needs to know apart from us right now but I guess I just worry about it being too soon. On the other hand I've never met someone like him before and it just feels so right to see what we may have.
