Morning everyone - found out my husband kept the number of his affair partner. When confronted, he told me it must have 'reappeared' due to syncing. How likely is this? I was always under the impression that when you delete from your iphone it deletes from the cloud?

That can easily happen to be fair….. any other suspicions?

Is this the only suspicion? Presumably you were checking his phone so still don't trust him. To be honest, it doesn't really matter if he still has the number in his phone. He could have remembered it, written it down somewhere etc etc. Are you happy living like that feeling you have to check his phone?

It's happened to me, if the number is saved but no contact name then it probably is just a coincidence and happens sometimes. If it has a contact name and the number saved then he might have saved it again.

I deleted everything from an ex, except dog photos.

Phone broke, and I had to re-sync new one.

6 years of whatsapp messages back on my phone like nothing happened and contacts I deleted ages ago.

Your DP could well be telling the truth, but he now has to delete it again.

It's possible - happens to me all the time and it's so irritating. Somehow my cloud contacts and my phone contacts are different. I delete phone contacts but it doesn't sync to the cloud but the cloud will then sync back to my phone putting them all back on.

Obviously doesn't mean he's not cheating but it is possible that the contacts can get readded.

last confirmed contact was in january, surely in four months you would see that they are back on the phone?

hello all, sorry for the radio silence - my head was so foggy I realised I have gioven the wrong information so if its ok with all of you I can start again? Husband blocked her (I saw this happen in january after being confronted) fast forward to now, discover that her number is there unblocked and certainly not deleted. I have spoken to a friend who works for apple and she said syncing can bring back contacts but usually thats only if they are stored elsewhere on the phone. So at somepoint she was definately unblocked by my husband. So it was either before she was 'deleted' or she was blocked then unblocked and never deleted (which I am starting to think is the case)

Whatever the case is, you don't trust him (with good reason) and that needs addressing. You'll drive yourself insane if you go through life like this.
