Is this normal - infatuation

I have a crush on someone that I shouldn't (they're single, I'm not), so I've stopped messaging them, it's only been just over 2 weeks but the longer I go without messaging them the more obsessed I become (they have no feelings for me - we're friends). I'm thinking about them all the time- even having what I think may be intrusive thoughts at times.
Is that normal? How do I stop?

I dont know how you stop other than give it time. But I've been there OP. It's very tough x

Read up on limerence. First thing to do is break contact then the second thing to do is recognise what gap in your life that person filled and fill it with something more appropriate
