''On Sunday 23rd April 2023, the UK Government will be testing the new Emergency Alert System at 3pm, which will send loud alerts to the vast majority of mobile phones & tablets throughout the UK.

Sometimes victims of domestic abuse may have a hidden mobile phone, so it’s important to take the necessary steps to disable these alerts before they are sent to your phone.''

Wow - I’d never even thought of this when I read about the alert the other day. Fortunately my partner is lovely and this isn’t something i have to worry about. But I have been in this type of situation before and it can be terrifying so thanks for sharing on behalf of everyone who this helps!

Bumping.

Stay safe everyone.

Just a reminder that your phone will still sound the alert even if its on silent, and it will also vibrate.
