Trawling Dating Apps is a hobby for some

After I divorce I joined a couple of dating apps, it was fun at first and I met and dated a guy for a few months. It fizzled out so I’d
been off the apps for a while, and now I’ve
rejoined. I’ve noticed so many of the same faces are still there and ‘the last seen’ information for these people is often less than an hour ago. It just seems like some men are permanently on the apps. Having received numerous messages from these types I can only conclude that they are constantly looking for dates/sex as a permanent state and they never move on to any longer term relationships. Just wondered if there are any women doing this too? It just seems so depressing, I think I will set myself a time limit!

Last time I did OLD was exactly 10 years ago
I matched with someone who turned very strange and I blocked him without meeting him
I'm back on again now and I swear this same bloke is still on there. I mean he's probably just gone back on like me but Ive made sure to steer clear of him .

Yes some men are always there, they might hide their profile but the same photo and old profile blurb is back again. Some keep a spreadsheet of people, save photos and info about everyone.
They tend to be off somehow.
The only women I know who do this are prostitutes

Yeah, I did.

I used dating apps on and off over a couple of years around 10 years ago.

I had no intention of ever properly dating or getting into a relationship with someone I'd met online but I had fun.

It was like a hobby, yes. I didn't ever lie and say I was looking to settle down but, of course, most men assumed I did anyway cos that's what women want - apparently.
