I recently agreed to try again with an ex. I am in my fifties as is he and it has been hard to find someone single and not weird. Politically we are very different. I am a Socialist and he is to the right of the Tory Party! Anyway last night out for dinner and we started a discussion about the report on the Met. He said it was all made up, one bad apple etc and said something derogatory about it being written by a woman. I was horrified that he couldn’t acknowledge it at any level. I know it sounds mad but I don’t want to be with someone who won’t even acknowledge the issues. Is it unreasonable to stand by my principles?
