Happy mothers to all estranged families

I don’t mean to be mean, or to open up painful wounds. My title says it all. Speaking as one estranged from one of my children I know how heart breaking the situation is for all concerned. I see my other children. I’m not going into details and do not expect bile or hatred from anyone. Just this, try and forgive, be understanding and think of all those mothers who may be in tears this morning. I realise some parents deserve to be oestrasised and I am not diminishing their pain, but little niggles and arguments should not be allowed to fester as no good can come from it, neither for the grandparents, parents or the little grandchildren who may long to see their grandparents.

Yep I'm completely in the same boat . I really don't care about mother's day anymore and estranged daughter has made me feel this way about it . There is so much more to who I am than being a mother and I celebrate that 🙂

Me too. My other 2 dc have been lovely this morning and I'll probably shed a tear in private later about the alienates one.

Same boat here 7 children 6 grandchildren age range from 26 to 3 years. 5 oldest children with ex who beat the hell out of me for 17 years. 3 children don't talk to me as daddy gets lots of money for being an alcoholic

Not estranged but daughter too busy and thoughtless to bother . Selfish but definitely not raised that way. I might get a text later . I am embarrassed for her .
