The talk

I need to have the talk with my partner of 20 years. Feel so nervous and worried that I will wimp out of it or that he will bombard me with comebacks and that I will loose my voice.
How do I make sure that I stay on track and have the courage to follow it through?

I would bullet point everything you want to say, it should help you keep on track. I find it much easier to go through everything if I've written it down.

Pick a good time. No distractions. Ask to say your piece before he interrupts.

Are you planning to dump him?

Remember the talk needs to go both ways! Say your bit but give him chance to have his say. However, no shouting, blaming or name calling allowed.
