Dating advice needed...

Ok, so I've started seeing someone... it's very early days and we've on 5 dates,
but so far, so good! He's asked me round to his on Thursday for a meal at his after I met him earlier today.

So far, we've only had dates in public places so there's been no "action" though it's clear there's chemistry between us (unless I'm imagining stuff!) and I strongly suspect that him inviting me to his is him looking to take things to the next level... which is fine by me!

My question is, should I take stuff in case he asks me to stay the night? (I live just over an hour away from him if that's relevant). I want to be prepared in case he does, but then again, he might recoil if I turn up with an overnight bag as I can see that could look really presumptuous!

Yes. Just take a big t shirt, toothbrush and clean knickers... and condoms

TooManyAnimals94 · 25/02/2023 19:50

Are you driving there? Could you leave a bag in the car and get it if it looks like things are heading that way?

Karatema · 25/02/2023 19:50

If you're driving then, yes, because you can leave it in the boot! If no then think carefully about what items you would want minimum. If it's more than a large handbag then think again!

TooManyAnimals94 · 25/02/2023 19:50

Also, how much do you need that it wouldn't fit in a handbag? 😂

mumyes · 25/02/2023 19:53

Take a bag & leave in car until he asks if you're staying!

Good luck. Have fun!

Sorry to be boring but tell someone where you're going, & tell them you'll text mid way to confirm all ok.

Pinkbonbon · 25/02/2023 19:56

You just need a clean t-shirt and pants surely?Roll them up and put them in your handbag.

And definately take your own condoms. You don't know how long his have been sat in his drawer for. Men don't check the expiry dates in my experience.

Tuilpmouse · 25/02/2023 20:08

Thanks, good advice. I will be driving. I'll leave some stuff in the car when I get there (apart from the condoms!)

Presumably you mean mid way through the date, not mid way through the sex 😂

No man will say no to having a woman in his bed for more than round one!

Zanatdy · 25/02/2023 20:47

This was me in December. I drove too so left stuff in the car and of course ended up staying! But I didn’t want to walk in with an overnight bag like I do now

Even if he was work in the morning?

Most men can't/don't get much sex, as in they have to work for it, so he won't pass the opportunity!

Oh god if you are driving take everything and leave it car he wont know
