He seems jealous

Lately I have gotten to know some of my boyfriend's friends more. He said to me one of them kept talking about me and said I am really lovely and that he is lucky to have me.

My boyfriend said he felt a bit left out I have got to know his friends. I don't know why because my boyfriend is a socialite and talks to lots of people so I don't know why it bothers him. Although his friend did say to us all yesterday he wants to date again as it is time he met someone. I don't know if he felt threatened by that comment as his friend then spoke about me today as my boyfriend kept saying he isn't jealous of him and laughed.

It’s a really weird thing to say and I would take it as meaning he resents not being the centre of everyone’s attention. Or alternatively he doesn’t want you getting too close to them as he doesn’t want you to know the whole story. Either way it’s not a good thing. I’d be keeping my eyes open as it’s a bit red flaggy

He sounds really immature, it's a red flag for sure.

It does sound like an imature response to a very innocent comment from his friend.

That said, he was honest and told you how he felt.

Only you know what he's like.... if he gets jealous easily then be wary.
