Conman warning

Writing here to advise/warn women daters of an individual I was involved with. He was recently on Match.com and is currently living in Harrow, London. He is a UK national but lived and raised in Australia so has a clear Australian accent. Mid 60s but claims online to be early 50s. He might also claim to be mI6, or ex British Special Forces or working in the security industries. He is in fact a hacker with a US and Australian firearms record (domestic and federal) having served time in both countries. I want to warn women that if you come across this individual he is highly machiavellian - It’s never been fully ascertained if his tales of work are true as of course nothing was verifiable. I cannot name names here but if anyone would like further details I would be happy to discuss.

Thanks Beano. Sorry you had this experience.

FWIW - if ANYONE ever meets anyone online who claims to be special forces, MI5 or 6 or a close protection officer - run a mile. Chances of them being delusional at best and a conman at wilder are super high. People with these jobs don’t disclose them to random online dates.

I once chatted to someone online who claimed to be the Queens CPO and that he was up at Balmoral - about 10 mins into a online exchange. Aye right buddy.

Exactly this... Anyone talking about being ex special forces or similar on OLD is 99.9% likely to be a con artist. Most will simply say they work in security or that they're ex-forces but even then, the vast majority of servicemen and women are in pretty mundane roles and aren't seeing front line action/playing hero.
