How often do you have sex, and how has the frequency varied over the course of your relationship?

Together 25 years.

Obviously in the beginning it was a lot! Lol.

When we had children it dipped massively as I was tired and stressed, all the usual stuff that comes with having small children. I think we averaged around once a fortnight back then.

Things picked up again as the kids grew up and it would usually be 3 times a week.

Then the kids hit their teens and just never seemed to give us any privacy. Was always one milling around at night or just awake later. I felt uncomfortable that they might hear us. So yeah it dipped to around once a week. But any spare chance we got when they were out, we made the most of it.

The teens went off to college/uni just as menopause hit me. Life's a arse isn't it lol. My libido hit the floor for a couple of years. No sex for months at times.

Libido has picked up massively this last year and we are back to around 3 times a week.

New relationship so we have sex everytime we see each other, more than once! But sure that will die down a bit as time goes on. Right now we are enjoying finding out what we like and experimenting! Having the best sex ever in my mid 40’s and excited for more of that!

I hate the way desire drops off.
I have a much higher sex drive than my OH.
I prefer evening sex/ he prefers morning.
i’m 55, he’s 61. Very envious of those who get it daily. We are 4 years in and it has dropped from 3 to twice a week because he’s always too tired.

In the beginning, all the time we were together. For example, we went away within 2 months of meeting for 4 days. We had sex day and night only stopping for food and drink. This pattern carried on for a good 18 months.
Now it's dropped to 2-3 x a month 4 yrs on.
In fact, he rolled over and went to sleep last night when I propositioned him.

3/4 times a year which I'm more than fine with (he is not)
34 and 42, three kids.
