This may be the peak of male entitlement

He's suing her for $2.3m because she doesn't want to 'take their relationship to the next level' Seriously. This is a thing that is happening.

The sheer entitlement makes me want to scream. They’re in Singapore, but I'm pretty sure most of us have been out with at least one guy who, given the opportunity, would try this nonsense.

The sheer entitlement makes me want to scream.

Link still doesn't work.

Does this mean I can sue all the disappointing dates I've been on, rather than just chalking them up to experience?

I genuinely have no idea why it’s not working and will stop trying after this, as this thread is just going to be a string of broken links at this rate. But, yes, sue them all!

I'd be countersuing for emotional distress based on his stalking and whatever that thing is about suing for no good reason. What a fucking psycho.

Some no win no fee lawyer could make him very sorry because I bet she has a case and he doesn't.

elodiesmith · 03/02/2023 03:33

Didn't Mariah Carey sue James packer for wasted time? I think from memory she won?

AppleKatie · 03/02/2023 03:38

Gosh, poor woman. What an entitled and creepy man

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 03/02/2023 04:47

Wow, he sounds deranged. That poor woman. I hope that the court case is kicked out without being given the time of day. She should not have to justify why she didn't want to spend time with him.

Talon01 · 03/02/2023 06:09

It took four years to realise what they wanted wasn't aligned.

I'm not sure there is an innocent party here.

Maybe she changed her mind. That's fine.

There's something wrong with him and possibly you might want to ask yourself if there's something a little bit wrong with you.

Women are allowed to be friends with men. Even if it turns out that the men want more. We aren't machines that men put effort into and we pay out in the form of sex.

They could have been married for 20 years, she's allowed to say she doesn't want to have anything to do with him again even then.

The guy even tried to Sue her for not being available to go for coffee with him.

If he does this with a friend/girlfriend, she's had a lucky escape. Imagine if they'd been engaged or married!

He's also letting every woman know to avoid him like the plague!

Most women take 7 years to leave an abusive relationship. Are they in the wrong too?🙄

Usernameusavailable · 03/02/2023 06:55

She is counter suing him. Go her!

Er, she’s allowed to turn him down, or change her mind at any point, for any reason, or even for no reason if she wants. As is he.

So if after 4 years all a woman still wants with a man is a friendship, she’s “not innocent”?! WTAF? Are you this pigs lawyer?

Different country, different situation and no, she didn’t win, it was settled

SprayedWithDettol · 03/02/2023 10:22

Little man doesn't like being told no. It is happening everywhere.

Atethehalloweenchocs · 03/02/2023 10:39

Jeez - I have male friends I have known for 30 years. Wonder how much they could sue me for!

elodiesmith · 03/02/2023 10:57

@Naunet so she didn't lose, either?

Nope, like I said, it was settled - you can Google it pretty easy if you’re curious about the details.

I think it’s 7 attempts to leave… which can be much shorter or longer than 7 years.
