Getting your ducks in a row ?

Hi,
I think my relationship is going to end in the near future. Not one particular thing, but it's just not what I want any more amd I think we would be happier apart.

I'm thinking about how to get my ducks in a row, so to speak.

He isn't dangerous so no urgency and I have time. I've been the stay at home mum for the past 7 years we've been together. I got pregnant almost straight away. We now have 3 kids. The mortgage is in his name only, but I would want a fresh start in a new place anyway.

So, I need to -
Get a job.
Learn to drive.

My mum will be my guarantor if needed and can help with rent costs up front if needed so I'm not worried about that.

I'm pretty certain. He is going to want to see the kids regularly and will pay what he needs to.

What would you suggest is important to getting your ducks in a row?

Would really appreciate any advice.

Thanks x
