My gf and I have been seeing each other for 7 months now but we met 15 years ago on a snowboarding trip separately and we briefly exchanged our info being that we were from the same state.
She's been married for 10 years but now going through a mutual divorce with her ex.
He moved out 10 months ago after she told him to get out because of his lying constantly for several years and his drinking problem.
She's upset she didn't leave him sooner.
Anyway, we have a great relationship ourselves although she keeps me hidden from many of her closest friends she talks to daily as I sit there in silence in the background.
Her parents know about me to an extent but not our relationship. Her best friend also knows about me slightly but not in full retrospect.
I understand she's going through a very difficult time and I mentioned to her I'll be patient throughout the process and will be there to listen if she ever needs to vent.
I honestly feel she could tell her closest friends about me at this point.
I've heard her lie to them on the phone about not being with anyone yet. I'm literally kept hidden and it does make me feel upset in my soul and makes me not be so transparent with her bc of that.
She will argue with me about little things that I did in my personal business life but she does exactly what she accuses me of and I never confront her about it bc that's her business/personal life. Does anybody have any suggestions for me.
