Bit late but can put in pot now

LadyGardenersQuestionTime · 29/01/2023 08:47

It’s a bit late to be honest, but you’ve got a better chance with them in the ground than in the shed.

Shortbread49 · 29/01/2023 10:11

Are you alluding to a different thread?

Intriguedbythis · 29/01/2023 10:41

@Shortbread49 and @Theos 😂 if so there is another new thread on here.

no idea when to plant them - maybe check before buying 100 bulbs? Probably not the moment to plant if you want a sea of white in your garden..

Theos · 29/01/2023 10:47

No. That might make me a narcissist.

of

Bluebottomedsheep · 29/01/2023 10:52

Grimsknee · 29/01/2023 10:53

I can't 💚WRITE ANYTHING about when to PLANT your narcissi bulbs, I can only SAY that you should plant your BULBS 💛with light and love FREE from uNDerwEaR and PHOTOGRAPH it and post photos of yourself planting them MANY 💙times. One DAY I cam write ABOUT why but not TODAY.

DeskChair · 29/01/2023 10:54

Put them in the ground now, no point waiting til the end of the year and they’ll still come up

Highlyflavouredgravy · 29/01/2023 10:56

Intriguedbythis · 29/01/2023 11:01

YES 💚 coffee HELPS me write. Which I am FINALLY free to do and I will write IT ALL. But not quite YET. But I AM skinnier than my grownup daughters so there's THAT.

mattyd · 29/01/2023 11:06

I think I'm missing some vital information here.

Crumpetdisappointment · 29/01/2023 11:07

i think so too
very cryptic
can someone link

Fleur405 · 29/01/2023 11:08

you normally plant in the autumn to come up in spring. You could try planting them now and see what happens….

PonyPatter44 · 29/01/2023 11:10

I feel like there's something I'm missing here. If this is a thread about plants, yes, you've left it a bit late for planting narcissus bulbs, and they don't do well planted straight into cold soil. You could try it and see what happens though.

Shortbread49 · 29/01/2023 11:36

You are funny this has made me laugh while doing Sunday housework

Shortbread49 · 29/01/2023 11:53

Although now I am EXHAUSTED from 3 hours of cleaning washing and ironing and need to recover my calm and composure with A large TEA

Intriguedbythis · 29/01/2023 12:43

@Shortbread49 Do you need me to donate for your tea/coffee?

Don’t drink it too fast though or you may get Red-faced!

Shortbread49 · 29/01/2023 13:03

Yes please I must set up a site e for kind supporters as I get through a lot of teabags and the occasional scone would be nice

MerryChristmasToYou · 29/01/2023 13:19

Plant the bulbs now in a way that they spell out your message. When they eventually flower, the narcissist will know exactly what you thought of him.
I'd pop in a few red tulips too for the red flags.
And of course, LTB.

Beanchops · 29/01/2023 13:41

@Grimsknee and @Intriguedbythis STOP - Stop raising awareness and gardening. No wonder you are EXHAUSTED. Don’t worry I’ll get my friend Marta to do it for you. She’s not busy. She only has her life and a job.

KirstenBlest · 29/01/2023 13:49

Pop them in a bag with some other stuff and give them to your DS. When your DDIL tells you that as a pregnant professional she hasn't had a chance to plant them, complain that she's ungrateful and unappreciative.
