Worried about someone

What would you do? Met someone OLD I ended after a few weeks in November, we've since exchanged a few messages and he's posted regularly on Facebook. He was 60 on the 21st and he's disappeared, I've texted him a couple of times asking how he his,no reply nothing on Facebook. He's had mental issues, no family, no close friends should I be worried?

It does seem a bit odd but I'd give it a few more days, could it be something at work that's keeping him busy? Have you tried ringing him?
winterbegone · 25/01/2023 21:44
It's nice that you care but there is a limit, he is practically a stranger and with mental health issues, this is asking for trouble, I think he's done you a favour of ghosting.
Most likely he isn't interested for whatever reason, and to continue messaging is just a waste of your time, we can't possibly worry over everyone we've known for a few weeks, only bother with people that reciprocate their interest in you.

I'm absolutely with you @winterbegone but he knows I'm not interested in him that way I'm concerned for his welfare,

It's only a few days ago. Maybe he's on holiday or something. Maybe he's got interested in someone else. Maybe he doesn't want to keep up contact.
I wouldn't worry.

I wouldn't be worried if he was still posting on Facebook or had replied to other's birthday messages, I'll leave it but will still worry!
