Tinder question

Just having swipe through while I have my lunch and there are so many profiles of I assume married/attached men that have no profile picture - just a blank screen or nature or a motorbike. So All you have to go on is their name (probably made up) and age (again probably knocked off a decade).

Who the hell swipes on these profiles?
Even if I wanted NSA I would at least want to see the persons face before I swiped on them and to know they weren't married.

I'm not a journo - daily Mail can fuck off - but really curious. The guys with a profile picture are mostly awful, maybe I'm missing a trick and the ones without are the really hot, interesting ones. Shame they are married.

I joined and didn’t have a pic up and had loads of men swiping on me and messaging me 🤣 so they probably think women are just as desperate? (I joined on the advice on a friend to “see what was out there”)

I don't know if anyone does swipe yes on them.

I suppose if I were married and looking for a discreet fling, I might look for someone who has as much to lose as I would, but having never been in that position, I do not know.

They're probably all the ones whinging about how useless OLD is, without considering any possible fault in their own profiles.

I would imagine women who also have no profile picture?

Maybe there are lots of women who do similar? I know women are just as likely to be unfaithful as men, but I sort of had in my head they don't actively look to be unfaithful as much as men do (eg more likely to fall for someone in real life rather than set up a blank profile on tinder?)

There must be people out there swiping in the blank profiles?

I swiped on one with no head once (his torso was quite something), he then sent me a photo with a face which was quite nice too. I did meet him eventually and he was the torso in the photo. He insisted he was just out of his long term relationship hence the no face. Who knows but I did see him on Tinder last year with his face, a different name and age!

I never swiped on blank profiles , I'm not sure why anyone would. They could be anyone!

If the Ashley Madison (dating website just for people seeking affairs) statistics are the same across the board you will be correct in your assumption. They had 30% women, 70% men and some of those women’s profiles were faked by the company to lure in more men!

My friend was on Tinder about 5 years ago and we used to group men’s profiles into different categories, there was one of men holding fish they’d caught that was surprisingly popular. Also men looking into camera at odd angle with their hands on their chin. I am sure women also have categories they fall into but my friend is a straight woman.
