Most bios on old are cringe and cookie cutter, what are the top 10 do you think?

Here are mine, from a male perspective

No drama please (A history ridden with chavs and weirdo's)

Love to travel! (Don't we all)

Must have your sh*t together ( gold digger women)

Wanderlust! (A trendy word for luv to travel)

My kids are my world ( 🙄)

Love nights in and nights out too.

JoanCandy · 18/01/2023 21:29

‘Must have your shit together’ equates a gold digging woman to you ?

How about we turn that on it’s head and say it’s written from the perspective of someone who is fed up of cock lodging, scrounging scrotes that wheedle and worm their way into living with a woman that has HER shit together just so that they can mug off her and take advantage of her kind and caring nature ?

Notjusta · 18/01/2023 21:30

This is going to be interesting 🍿

Quite.

Bio - ‘just ask’

equals ‘I’m going to put as little effort into a relationship as I do trying to promote myself on this site’

coolcahuna · 18/01/2023 21:45

Looking for my partner in crime

frozendaisy · 18/01/2023 21:46

What do you think the top five cringe cookie cutters are from a female perspective OP? I mean you are posting on "Mumsnet" there is a clue in the web name there.

frozendaisy · 18/01/2023 21:47

Likes music and reading

OK, that’s fair enough, but honestly expecting the other person to have their most basic shit together isn’t really much to ask for, is it ?

itbemay · 18/01/2023 21:48

There was a brilliant one on here a few years ago.. wonder if it's in classics. I'll take a look

frozendaisy · 18/01/2023 21:48

And where do you travel to? What do you do when there?
That usually tells you all you need to know.

Boroladuk · 18/01/2023 21:51

Women holding fish is a favorite of mine

To me, from a female perspective 'have your shit together' for a man means:

Not live with your parents
Live in suitable accommodation and able to keep it clean
Have a job
Good personal hygiene
No mental health problem that mean you shouldn't be dating
No ED
Sorted out your ex-relationships so they don't impact on me if we start dating.
Be a proper parent to your children if you have them.

Really really basic stuff.

Nothing to do with money, I've got my own house and my job, it's not that strange I want someone who has the same so they aren't sponging off me or expect me to parent them. I'm not looking to be a kept woman, been there, done that and it isn't what men think it's cracked up to be (didn't go out looking for that but I worked in a creative career and we moved with his job abroad etc)

Cutlerydraw · 18/01/2023 21:52

@Boroladuk I’m not on OLD but my friends says they see a lot of men say “ no drama please” and that it usually means, if they treat you like shit, don’t kick off!

WatieKatie · 18/01/2023 21:54

I’m tactile 🤮

tappinginto2023 · 18/01/2023 21:54

Forgot:

No harmful addictions
No pending criminal convictions (and no spent ones, unless it's something cool like Greenpeace etc)

HarrysRedEars · 18/01/2023 21:55

"Pineapple on pizza"
"Curves in all the right places"
"No bigger than a size 10"
"My heigh is x because apparently that matters"
"I can make you scream"
"Mess your lipsticks not your mascara"
"lady in the street..."
"Not my kid in the photo/not my dog/The dog will go hungry if you don't reply back"
"Is anyone real?"
"Message me to find out. Just ask"
"hmu"
"Dominant Master looking for bb girl"
"Where do you let me cum?"
"What's the riskiest place you done it at?"
I could go on. It's absolutely dire out there. 😩

Boroladuk · 18/01/2023 22:14

Yeah like that ^

Also the "deleting this app soon" ones 🙄
or just 'hi' or 'lol' or 'i'll fill this late'

asquideatingdough · 18/01/2023 22:42

I once saw a profile of a 54 year old man on Bumble who had put "not sure yet" in the box for "do you have or are you planning to have children?".

Bouledeneige · 20/01/2023 08:20

'Normal guy'

Oh dear..... Boring.

Turn off photos - in a tuxedo/dinner jacket (always look crap), sitting on motorbike or leaning against a sports car, (boring petrol head shoeing off vehicle) and standing on top of a mountain, hanging off a cliff etc (I am action man).

I also caulk at anyone who thinks women are gold diggers....
