Following on from the cuddling post I'm just curious on how often people have sex in long term relationships? I ask this as a woman who in her late 30s have 2 weeks of the month where id happily do it every day and 2 weeks of the month where I would happily be single. I assume it's hormones that make me feel this what but some days I can't stop thinking about sex at all!!

I'm with my husband for 19 years, we're married 12 this year and have 2 kids under 10. Some days I can't get enough of him. I'm like marmite. Love it or hate it! 😊

I'm 40, DP is 47 and we have 2 DC (11 & 13). Both work full time and we have sex about 5 times a week. He'd happily have sex daily in the week & pushes for twice a day in the weekends, which I'm sometimes up for depending on what plans we have. I don't like PIV during my period, but will offer a few blowjobs that week.

I'd happily do it every day, but at the moment we average once/twice a week. I'm 25, DP is 38. DSD6 stays with us 50% of the time and we both work full time.

@selck when we were 25 we probably did do it everyday! We are both 38 (well I was 2 weeks ago and hubby will be in 2 weeks) and with work and life its not possible. But the sex is still as good as it used to be. In some ways better as I'm more relaxed now and not trying to impress him if that makes sense.

Same, up to 5 times a week, together 15 years

It really depends on what else is going on in our lives - used to be about 5 times a week but now we have a toddler and full time jobs again etc it's probably twice a week.

Once a week, health allowing. I wish it was more but the mind is willing and flesh is weak. I have chronic health conditions and so has DP. We are very affectionate and enjoy intimacy other than sex though so that's the way it works for us.

Once a week is good for me, but a long session. I prefer quality over quantity! The rest of the time I'd rather have a cuddle.

I’m 29, DP is 33 and we do it around 2/3 times in the ‘week’ and then basically all the time at the weekend 🤣 but I definitely feel less ‘get up and go’ about a week before my period, so hormones definitely play into it I think :)

Very, very happy that, at 56 and 60, DH and I have lovely, lazy sex about 4 mornings a week. We can never be arsed at night.

Been together nearly 10 years and have set around 2 times a day!! Probably why we have 4 children 🤣😂 when it's time of the month I offer a few blowjobs anything to keep him happy.

No, she said she feels more relaxed now than she did back then. I think OP had always loved and wanted sex just as her DP.

@xfan no I didn't have sex with him just to impress him. That might have been phrased wrong. Definitely feel more relaxed now as @ohfacksake said. I have always enjoyed sex but when I was younger the experiences weren't the most enjoyable. However my now hubby has been very generous where as others not so much. I think as we've gotten older and obviously got to know each other inside out it's so different now.

Sorry posted too soon. And twice somehow. But it's different now as we both love each other and it can be very intense sometimes or a quickie if the needed.

An average is an average. Lots of couples have more or less given up on sex, meaning there must be lots more who are at it every spare moment.
