soon to be xDh came today to see dd, work issues meant he couldn't take her out, anyhoo on arrival he sat down with her to watch tv, then proceeded to eat her lunch (which she had left coz she was so excited to see him) then he sat reading his paper and looking in a toy catalogue, whilst I was busy I heard him say we'll buy you that at the weekend (he has already mentioned buying other things for her) I kindly asked him not to starting doing this as I didn't want to start bad habits whereby she starts associating seeing him with him buying toys (was this right?) I also feel its his way of easing his guilt for leaving, I obviously upset him as he started crying.

I then had to suggest that they go upstairs to play with her toys as I don't see it being quality time sitting in front of the tv, also he started trying to tidy up!! (er you don't live here anymore) and started eating my food!! and stupidly i didn't say anything, this really annoyed me as he has pointed out many a time that this is no longer his home, so why the feck is he treating it like it still is!?!?!

Yes you are right to be annoyed. My ex uses money to ease his guilt/buy ds's affection all the time and it drives me mad. I'm the one who does pretty much everything for them but daddy's the fun one who takes them to Toys R Us and buys them anything they want.
I've had a go lots of times, but I always end up feeling like the baddie.

Grrrrr!!!
