Anyone else waiting for the the kids to come back from a 'divorced Christmas'?

Despite kids being older now, they still have to endure the few cringy hours with their father (who never entertains at his house) at the grandparents house. Child number one and stepmother do not get on and ignore each other. Child number 2 tries and makes everyone happy but comes home stressed.
I just hope my kids don't have to go through this when they are parents. It's such a bloody bore each year.

Did it for 16 years, DS now acts as counsellor for other young people at uni whose parent still applies the emotional thumb screws..
The only thing I can reassure you is that eventually it stops.
