Help needed for a friend

Hi everyone.

I am a guy and my best friend is a girl and we have been through so much bad stuff over the last 6 months and its brought us so close together. Nothing sexual as I am shy and innexperienced and totally not her type (thats what she says) and 10 years older than her.

Anyways, the guy she was with then split up with and got back together with has broken her heart again. I tell her he is not worth it, but it was her first love (she is 32) and has had a bad past with family issues. Her mum has a history of cheating and breaking up relationships and she thinks she will follow.

I tell her I am always there for her, but she is blaming herself and saying its karma that he was cheating etc.

I recently spent a week with her before all this happened and she didnt want me to leave and we never left each others side.

I dont want to be constantly hassling her, but I dont want to be distant either.

Any help or advise?

Thanks

Move on. If she liked you something would have happened by now.
