Decree Absolute - Which form?

I have received my nisi and have waited the time frame to apply for absolute, but what form do I fill out? Have been given no form or guidance from the courts! I am the respondent if that makes a difference.

are Your finances sorted out? I wouldn’t apply for DA until you have a financial order in place otherwise your ex H could make financial claims in the future. if you’ve got a decree nisi then the application would have been made prior to April 2022 so you would need a D36 which you’ll find on the gov. Uk website. I would recommend getting some legal advice though. If ex H is petitioner then I would imagine he would make the application but just make sure financial matters have been resolved. Btw I’m not a solicitor but I work in family law which is why I highly recommend getting legal advice :)

Thanks Lucy. Yes all finances sorted over five years ago. There seems to be different versions of D36 form which is confusing.

Ah ok. Have more than 12 months passed since decree nisi? If not then I think you need this one

Thank you Lucy. Whole process years ago, and nisi granted just two months ago.

Ok well I think that is the form you need but as the respondent you can’t make the application until after 18 weeks since decree nisi has been granted. Have you spoken to your husband? As the petitioner he can apply sooner. Again, I’m not a solicitor but I believe what I’m saying is correct! Good luck 😊
