On a blind date 37 years ago arranged by friends..

At a ball. We were introduced and a thought entered my head "I shall marry you". Nearly 35 years ago. We have barely been apart since our 2nd date.

In lockdown, he approached me online as I run a voluntary organisation. He wanted help for his workmate. Once workmate issue was sorted, we got chatting. All civil and professional for a long time. I met him once lockdown was over, and then it wasn't so professional and civil.

At work, 5 years ago.

I'd always had a rule about not getting involved with anyone at work until then too!

At a mutual friend's gig in a local pub. We were both talking to the friend's then-partner, I'd ordered a bunch of Jägerbombs in my drunken wisdom and had a spare one so I gave it to my now DH.

We spoke all night and then after the gig our friend hinted madly about us both being single and apparently I made the first move. He walked me home, I fell over (I have a habit of doing that even when sober tbf) and he picked me up and patched up my injuries. Tbh I think I knew he was the one when he did that on that first night.

We've been together ever since. Over 9 years together and married for over 4 of those now. Still annoyingly happy together.
