Teams date

Met I guy online, but really not sure I fancy him. Pics wise he's not my type.

I've only been on a few dates (old), and always been really disappointed; a lot of effort to walk in and know instantly that the spark isn't there.

How do you all feel about an initial Teams or FaceTime date? Will I be able to tell if I'm attracted to him? Anyone else do this?

Teams is a bit corporate but I’d be happy to meet for a quick FaceTime coffee ‘pre-date’ to weed out the riff-raff quickly- I think that’s a great idea.

???

I chatted on the phone to dp for 3 weeks I think, we lived a distance and commitments meant that was the earliest we could meet. Just chat, it's the best way of getting to know someone

I met my boyfriend out dancing. I was quite drunk and my memories of getting his number are quite hazy. He texted the next day and said he was coming back to my area in two weeks and wanted to meet. I said yes, not really remembering what he looked like other than he was very smiley and a good dancer. We met on a video call 10 days later and I was so disappointed, I didn’t fancy him at all, dreaded the date but it was too late to cancel. However when I actually met him his smile and mannerisms and dancing in real life had me smitten. In short - you can’t always tell from a video meet - can be very different face to face.
